Testimonials

Mark Scanlon, MD, CDP Ltd

Initially I did have some concerns about the amount of time and cost of the coaching I would have with Anita Morris but these concerns were quickly dispelled and I was more than surprised with how much I could actually help myself once Anita had helped me to realise where I was at from an emotional point of view.

The one to one sessions, coaching and mentoring more than worth the time and the expense as I cannot put a price on the the realisations I came to and the more settled person that I now am.

I would recommend the course that I had with Anita for anyone in a senior position who is having some challenges with how they relate to others and themselves.

Coaching the Coach Programme
When I was informed by my company in July 2006 that I had been selected for a Coaching Programme with Anita Morris I had no idea what to expect in terms of what I(or Anita) was going to do and how it would impact on my job role.
With thirty four years background in the building trade, coaching was never high on the agenda on site!
You learnt your trade, worked as part of a team got the job done and if you couldn’t do that you were up the road!
Fast forward to May 2007 and I can honestly say working alongside Anita over this period has improved my skills immensely in helping work colleagues learn and perform effectively in their own job roles.
From my first coaching session with Anita I felt comfortable with what the objective of the course was about. Anita is very friendly, explains things very clearly and is an interesting person to work alongside, and also has the skills available to encourage and motivate an individual to learn.
I have developed from a person who tried to solve people’s problems for them all the time, to someone who now is able to support the same people believe and trust in themselves to work successfully in their own job role.
The impact Anita Morris has had on my development in my job role and personal life is that I have learnt to stand back and through discussion and feedback encourage people to think, and not be thinking for them, when there are difficulties to overcome.
I would highly recommend working with Anita Morris (on a Coaching Programme) to any individual regardless of their trade or professional background, I am positive they will find it a rewarding experience just as I did.

Stacey Smith – Area Manager

I am working in a very senior position within an expanding Public Sector Organisation whose main aims and objectives are to deal with substance misuse. I have been with the Organisation for eighteen years working my way up through the different roles from face to face worker to Senior Manager.
Due to expansion the Organisation had to review its management structure which had real implications for my future with the agency.
During this period I was offered one to one coaching sessions with Anita Morris, it was a time of change and uncertainty within the Organisation which caused from a managerial and personal point of view a great deal of stress.
By working with Anita I was able to identify what I needed to do to remain in control of my situation and look at my options for professional development.
Anita was able to coach me through the difficulties of managing change and the subsequent resettlement into a new position within the same Organisation.
One element of the sessions was a 360 degree assessment I found this immensely useful and really gave me the opportunity with Anita to reflect on my management practice and how I was viewed by others.
We have covered a number of topic’s ranging from working from a strategic perspective rather than an operational one to how I present myself at meetings.
I have also found that Anita used her networks and colleagues to put me in contact with other professionals that could be of assistance to me in my development.
Overall I have found the experience to be rewarding and extremely beneficial to me as it allowed me to remain focussed during a difficult period but also gain in confidence and develop my skills as a manager.
I would highly recommend working with Anita Morris for any Senior Manager.
